Diane received her nursing degree from St. Elizabeth's Medical center in Dayton, Ohio in 1972. Her professional background includes extensive nursing experience in case management, home health administration and all areas of hospital care. She is a member of the N.C. Association of Rehabilitation Insurance Professionals.

Rachel Boling,

Rachel Boling has six years of experience in case management.  She earned a BA degree in Social Work from East Carolina University and a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from ECU.  A counseling background enables Rachel to effectively work with those who have endured trauma, have psychological issues and/or substance abuse problems.

Sandy received her RN degree and then obtained certification as a public health nurse in 1986. She has experience in both hospital and home health nursing. She is licensed as a RN in both North and South Carolina and possesses certification in case management and disability management.

Margaret received her degree from the Catholic Medical Center School of Nursing in 1977 and St. JohnÕs University in 1983.  She has 12 years experience providing case management services and she also has experience in emergency nursing.  Prior experience includes case management services to the New York City Police Department-Health Services Division.

Pam earned a MasterÕs Degree in Rehabilitation Psychology at Appalachian State University in 1982. She was employed by the NC Division of Vocational Rehabilitation for 10 years in various roles including Rehabilitation Counselor, Rehabilitation Counselor in Charge, Advocacy Specialist and Program Specialist. She has extensive experience in private sector rehabilitation providing medical management and vocational rehabilitation services. She is a member of the National Association of Rehabilitation Providers in Private Sector.

Barbara Kohler,

Barbara earned a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.  She has provided vocational services as a rehabilitation consultant since 1995, and worked in both the public and private sector.  She has additional experience in personnel benefits administration including long and short term disability and worker's compensation.  Barbara has experience providing a wide array of vocational case management services, expert testimony, Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and assessments for litigation purposes.  She is a member of the National Rehabilitation Association, NASPPR, and serves as a board member of the Educational Planning Committee.   

Angela McGarity, BSN, RN, CRRN

Angela earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Rhode Island.  She became certified in Rehabilitation (CRRN) after two and a half years as the primary nurse of the head injury team at Wake Rehabilitation, part of the Wake Medical Center.  Angela also has experience in health insurance, utilization management, prior plan approval, appeals, grievances, short and long term disability as well as case management experience with workerÕs compensation nationally for the past two years.  She is a member of the NC Association of Rehabilitation Insurance Professionals and Association of Rehabilitation Nurses.

Carolyn obtained her nursing degree in 1982. She has a variety of experience including home care and occupational health. In 1995, she received her certification as an occupational health nurse specialist (COHN-S). She is a member of the Tarheel Association of Occupational Health Nurses.

Kristen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from UNC-Greensboro in 1996.  She has over eight years of experience in nursing and over three years experience as a medical case manager.  Kristen in a registered nurse in North Carolina and is a Certified Case Manager.

Judy earned a nursing degree from Central Piedmont Community College after working a number of years in life and health insurance brokerage sales.  She is licensed to practice nursing in North Carolina and South Carolina.  Judy's nursing experience includes seven years of medical case management in workers' compensation.  Prior clinical nursing experience includes home health, adult psychiatry, and acute rehabilitation with emphasis on orthopedic and head injuries.  She is a member of the North Carolina Association of Rehabilitation Professionals.

Katie earned her nursing degree from Midlands Technical College in Columbia, SC.  She has been working as a nurse case manager since 1996.  She is a licensed RN in North Carolina and Virginia and is a Certified Case Manager (CCM).

Melissa received her Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Psychology at North Carolina State University in 1993 and received her Masters of Science Degree in 1996 at East Carolina University double majoring in Vocational Rehabilitation and Substance Abuse Counseling.  She has been practicing private sector rehabilitation counseling since 1995.  She is a member of The International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals.

Patti stubbs, RN, COHN

Patti received her nursing degree in 1993.  She has experience in occupational health nursing, providing on-site treatment to injured employees and proactive case management to facilitate early return to work.  Patti has also worked as an experienced educator in CNA programs at Pitt Community College.  Additional experience includes home health, geriatrics, student health and staff nursing at Pitt Memorial Hospital.

Teri is a certified Disability Management Specialist with a Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State University.  She has ten years of experience as a case manager, providing both medical and vocational case management services in private sector rehabilitation.  Prior to this, she was an employment counselor with Job Services at JTPA, receiving extensive training in vocational testing and working with individuals with all types of barriers to employment.                

Leslie VanStaalduinen, MS, CRC

Leslie graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1991 with a BA.  She then received a Masters degree in 1994 in Rehabilitation Studies from East Carolina University.  Leslie then began working in private rehabilitation.  Leslie is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and is a member of the National Rehabilitation Association.

Becky is a Certified Rehabilitation Evaluation Specialist, employed in the rehabilitation field since 1983. She received her Master of Arts in Agency Counseling from Appalachian State University, and a BachelorÕs in Education from Western Carolina University. Since 1994 she has worked in the private sector providing support services to the rehabilitation community.

Since 1986 Nancy has been working in managed care, vocational counseling and placement, and business management. She graduated from Meredith College with a B.A. in May 1983; graduated UNC-Chapel Hill with a M.S. May 1987, attended post-graduate studies at NCSU from 1991 - 1993, and is a Certified Disability Management Specialist. Nancy is a member of the NC Association of Rehabilitation Insurance Professionals and the North Carolina and National Rehabilitation Associations and the Carolinas and National Association of Rehabilitation Professionals in the Private Sector. In 2003, Nancy founded Carolina Eldercare to provide needed services for elderly citizens. She also works actively to initiate change and to promote the needs of our aging population among governmental agencies, business leaders, and the general population.

Carla Marshburn,

Since 1983 Carla has been providing services in case management, utilization review, public health, and ortho/neuro nursing. She has maintained a Registered Nursing License since 1983 and CCM designation since 1994. She is a member of N.C. Association of Rehabilitation Professionals, International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals and Case Management society of America. As a founder of Carolina Eldercare, Carla is actively involved in designing and implementing quality services for the elderly population. She is also an advocate for the education of all citizens regarding needs of aging citizens.

John W. Wells,

John graduated with an B.S. degree from N.C. State University in 1983 and went on to earn his M.B.A. from Duke University in 1990. From 1983 to 2001, he worked in executive marketing positions for various large corporations. Since 2001, he has worked for Carolina Case Management with a focus on streamlining operations and improving company efficiencies. As a founder of Carolina Eldercare, he is focused on actively promoting the company, its services, and the benefits to be provided to the elder client. He works as an advocate of the elderly client to ensure quality support services.

Lauren Watral,
MSW
Lead Care Manager

Member National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.

Lauren graduated from Duke University with a B.A. in 1981 and earned her Masters, Social Work in 1985 from the University of South Carolina. While beginning her professional career in social work in 1983, Lauren progressed into various positions encompassing mental health therapy, substance abuse counseling, and elder care program coordination. She joined Carolina Eldercare in 2003 and has been instrumental in the design of services, training of care managers, and client management. Lauren works diligently to ensure the highest quality services are provided to the elderly client.
