Nancy W. Wells, MS, CDMS
President
Since 1986 Nancy has been working in managed care, vocational counseling
and placement, and business management. She graduated from Meredith
College with a B.A. in May 1983; graduated UNC-Chapel Hill with a M.S.
May 1987, attended post-graduate studies at NCSU from 1991 - 1993, and
is a Certified Disability Management Specialist. Nancy is a member of
the NC Association of Rehabilitation Insurance Professionals and the
North Carolina and National Rehabilitation Associations and the
Carolinas and National Association of Rehabilitation Professionals in
the Private Sector. In 2003, Nancy founded Carolina Eldercare to provide
needed services for elderly citizens. She also works actively to
initiate change and to promote the needs of our aging population among
governmental agencies, business leaders, and the general population.
Carla Marshburn, RN, CCM
Vice President, Care Management
Since 1983 Carla has been providing services in case management,
utilization review, public health, and ortho/neuro nursing. She has
maintained a Registered Nursing License since 1983 and Certified Case Manager designation
since 1994. She is a member of N.C. Association of Rehabilitation
Professionals, International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals,
Case Management society of America, and she was Delegate to the 2005
White House Conference on Aging. As a founder of Carolina
Eldercare, Carla is actively involved in designing and implementing
quality services for the elderly population. She is also an advocate for
the education of all citizens regarding needs of the aging.
John W. Wells, BS, MBA
Vice President, Marketing
John graduated with an B.S. degree from N.C. State University in 1983
and went on to earn his M.B.A. from Duke University in 1990. From 1983
to 2001, he worked in executive marketing positions for various large
corporations. Since 2001, he has worked for Carolina Case Management
with a focus on streamlining operations and improving company
efficiencies. As a founder of Carolina Eldercare, he is focused on
actively promoting the company, its services, and the benefits to be
provided to the elder client. He works as an advocate of the elderly
client to ensure quality support services.
Lauren Watral, MSW
Lead Care Manager
Member National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.
Lauren graduated from Duke University with a B.A. in 1981 and earned her
Masters, Social Work in 1985 from the University of South Carolina.
While beginning her professional career in social work in 1983, Lauren
progressed into various positions encompassing mental health therapy,
substance abuse counseling, and elder care program coordination. She
joined Carolina Eldercare in 2003 and has been instrumental in the
design of services, training of care managers, and client management.
Lauren works diligently to ensure the highest quality services are
provided to the elderly client.
